West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) invites applications from Indian nationals to recruit 1000 Office Executives.
SCALE OF PAY : ` 6,300/- – `20,200/- + Grade Pay ` 3,600/-. (Current Monthly Gross Salary ` 18,122/-)

QUALIFICATION :
1) Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University or Graduation in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in HS level or
2) 3 years full time Bachelor Degree in Computer Application (BCA) or Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (BBA) or Bachelor Degree in Science with Honours with
Statistics or Bachelor Degree in any stream with Computer Application / Computer Science as a pass subject with 50% in aggregate from a recognized University or 50% in HS with 3 years full time Degree in the Bachelor level with the subjects indicated in the foregoing lines of this provision.
AGE LIMIT : Minimum and maximum age shall be 18 and 27 years respectively as on 01.01.2012 with relaxation for SC / ST and OBC candidates of West Bengal for 5 years and 3 years respectively. Relaxation of upper age limit for Ex-Serviceman shall be allowed as per rules.
FEES : SC / ST candidates from the state of West Bengal are exempted from paying any fees. Others – Rs.250/- as Processing and Examination fees.
HOW TO APPLY :
Pre-Requisites for Online Registration:
The candidates are advised to use IE 8.0(Internet Explorer web browser), ensure that JAVA script is enabled and Pop-ups are allowed in the browser on PC/Laptop/Desktop being used for Online Registration.
STEPS FOR APPLYING:
STEP 1: Visit website www. wbsedcl.in. Go to career@WBSEDCL.
STEP 2: Click on “Recruitment for the Post of Office Executive (Notification No.: MPP/2012/05)” to view the full Advertisement Details.
STEP 3: Read the details very carefully before applying. “Online Application” links are placed at the bottom of “Advertisement Page”
STEP 4: Click on “Apply Online” to fill up the application form on-line.
STEP 5: The candidate would be directed to a page where he/she has to select from New User button (for first time registration or new registration) / Existing user button (for any other requirement related to later stages). Upon clicking the New User Button the candidate is allowed to fill-up his / her application form.
STEP 6: The candidate must fill up the application form as per the guidelines. After filling up the form, the candidate should click on the “(1) SAVE YOUR DATA” button. Please ensure that all the information is correctly entered as once the data is saved, no editing would be allowed.
STEP 7: In order to upload photograph & signature, the candidate needs to click on the “(2) Upload Photo & Signature”button.
STEP 8: The candidate should then click on “(3) Preview your Data” button. Here the candidate can view her/his complete application along with the uploaded photograph/signature. The candidate has to click on “Confirm”button. The candidate would get a message “Confirmation Accepted”. Candidate can correct his/her data before clicking on “Confirm” button.
STEP 9: The candidate has to provide his/her consent for the correction of the information entered by selecting the “Declaration” text. Once the candidate clicks on “(4) Submit (Final)” the candidate gets a confirmation message mentioning the “Registration Number” and the other important options that should be noted down for future references.
Note : After applying online, candidates are required to print the system generated Registration Slip with unique registration number. The original Registration Slip with required Demand Draft (having name and registration number duly written on the back of Demand Draft) and all Certificates / Testimonials (as applicable) superscribing at the

General Instructions:
1. Registration slip received with more than one Demand Draft and photocopies of Registration slip/Demand Draft will be rejected. The candidature of such candidate whose registration slip along with documents is received after 25/06/2012 shall not be considered.WBSEDCL will not be responsible for any loss of Email/Admit Card sent, due to invalid/wrong Email ID/ wrong postal address/postal delays/loss in transit etc.
2. Candidates will be allowed to appear for the Written Test only with Admit Card and not with the Registration Slip.Candidates will be allowed to appear for the Computer Proficiency Test with the Admit Card of Computer Proficiency Test only, and neither with the Admit Card of Written Test nor with the Registration Slip.
3.  Candidates should retain a photocopy of their Demand Draft and Registration Slip for future reference.WBSEDCL reserves the right to cancel / restrict / enlarge / modify / alter the recruitment process, if required, without issuing any further notice, reference or assigning any reason thereafter.
4. Candidate employed in Govt. Departments / PSUs / Autonomous Bodies shall have to produce NOC at the time of interview. Otherwise their candidature may be cancelled at that stage.In case any ambiguity / dispute arises on account of interpretation in versions other than English, the English version will prevail.Court of jurisdiction for any dispute will be in Kolkata.
5. In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment / selection that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and / or that he/she has furnished any incorrect / false
6. Category [SC / ST / OBC (A) / OBC (B) / Physically Challenged} once entered at the time of online registration shall not be allowed to be changed under any
circumstances and no benefits of other category will be admissible later on.
7. All correspondence with candidates shall be done through E-mail / SMS only. All information regarding examination schedule / Admit Card / Interview call letters etc.
8. No request for change of examination centre shall be entertained. However, WBSEDCL reserves the right to cancel or add any centre depending on the response in that area / centre.

Research Opportunities at CSIR Labs for Young Scientists as Senior Research Associates under Scientists’ Pool Scheme

The Senior Research Associateship (SRAship) is primarily meant to provide temporary placement to highly qualified Indian scientists, engineers, technologists, and medical personnel returning from foreign countries who are not holding any employment in India. Persons, who have not been abroad and possess outstanding academic record and have not been able to secure regular employment, are also eligible for selection.
The other eligibility criteria such as minimum academic score, publications etc, required for applying for Senior Research Associateship are mentioned In the information booklet-cum-application proforma which may be downloadable from Human Resource Development Group (CSIR) web site (www.csirhrdg.res.in).
The programmes covered under this sector include a broad-spectrum of diverse areas. The priorities relating to diseases/health risks cover a mission programme on Asthma and programmes principally concerned with reproductive health (antifertility agents), tropical infections (antimalarials, antitubercular, antimicrobial agents), ageing-related disorders (antiosteoporotic, antidementia, anti-stress, antidiabetic, antidyslipidemic agents), environmental and industrial health hazards, cataract, tumors and cancers. The other programmes relate to: antifilarials, hepatoprotectives, antiulcer, anti-inflamatory, antihypertensives, anti-arthritic, biocompatible materials etc. CSIR has also geared itself in recent advances in biology such as genome sequencing of man and opened up unlimited opportunities in medicine.
