k) Candidates serving in Government /Quasi Government Offices/Public Sector Undertakings includingNationalised Bank, Financial Institutions will be required to submit “No Objection Certificate” from the employerat the time of interview failing which the candidature may not be considered.

Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Limited is looking for an experienced Top Level Banker to hold the position of General Manager, Information Technology on the basis of regular employment or contract basis in accordance with mutual terms and age factor. The prospective candidate should be able to shoulder other responsibilities along with IT, viz: any other portfolio/s will be attached to IT portfolio.
Qualification:
B.E. / M.E. / B.Tech. / M.Tech. / MCA or any other IT related Qualification from IIT or any recognized university / Institution. CISA qualification will be an added advantage.
Or
A seasoned banker who has worked ‘hands on’ in IT area in nationalized Banks / Foreign Banks for a minimum period of 5 years.

 Age:
Preferred age is from 50 to 60 years which may be relaxed in the case of exceptionally good candidates.
Experience:
Candidate should have exceptional experience in Information Technology field with atleast minimum 10 years and should have had practical experience in a Bank in Core Banking environment.
Eligibility:
General Managers in Public Sector / Private Sector Bank with exceptional experience in IT field. Deputy General Managers and above in Public / Private Sector Banks who have worked as DGM(IT) / GM(IT) at least for a period of 2 years in the cadre.
Pay / Salary and allowances:
If appointed on regular employment: On par with Scale VII Executives of the Bank. (The appointee will be eligible to have appropriate perks like House Rent reimbursement, Car with Driver, Telephone, etc as applicable to other GMs of the Bank). In addition, Bank may consider lumpsum special allowance for the special category.
Comparable to Industry Salary and Compensations. In Scale VII, the Gross Emolument will be Rs.74,950/- p.m (Basic+DA). In addition, he/she will be eligible for facilities like, Gratuity, Pension, Leave Encashment, and Leave Fare Concession for self & dependent family members, Bank’s Accommodation or Leased Accommodation, Reimbursement of Entertainment Expenses, Medical Aid, Life Insurance coverage & Hospitalization Expenses for self & dependent family members, etc. as applicable under Bank’s rules.
If appointed on Contract Basis: Candidates selected would be paid a consolidated salary. The total emoluments for the appointee would be more than what is currently available in Nationalised Banks at appropriate level viz. GM. The appointee would also be eligible to have appropriate perks like Housing accommodation, Car with Driver, Telephone, group insurance etc. The salary is negotiable depending upon the experience and ability of the candidate.
The above position would be at Thoothukudi, Tamilnadu, but should be ready to work at any other place in India depending upon management needs.
